Love Gives Adoption began in 2010 with a conversation before church. It was when a couple of the leaders were talking about using their birthdays as opportunities to advocate for others rather than getting a new pair of socks that the idea of supporting an adopting family began.
A few weeks later Centerpoint raised a little over $8,000 and gave it to the local Bethany Christian Services Adoption Agency in Crofton, Md.
A couple months later we were told that the money specifically went to help a Maryland family adopt an older child from a group home in Michigan. That's when we knew this should be more than one year and more than one church.
